Mobile Photography – The Fishing Boat
The beauty about photography is that although throughout the world it has been growing at an alarming rate, here in the Bahamas it has finally started to take off. Mobile photography in the Bahamas seems to be a private event where persons are taking images but atleast 90% of their images are kept on their phone and private. This can be a good thing to do but when many of the images have nothing to do with embarrassing images but instead show great beaches, sunrises and sunsets, flora and fauna its a good idea to possibly share those images with the world.
Mobile photography in the Bahamas sure is catching on and I am glad to help others find ways to capture better images with their smart phones. So far I have seen from the basic cell phones to the top of the line uses as cameras when capturing video and images.
This video and accompanying images are a part of my first photo short video with the dinghy. This boat was not to far away from the dinghy so I made a quick video of this boat as well. The images were taken from multiple angles and I describe what I was doing when I took each image in the video. Often the best thing to do is to take multiple images from different angles and directions. Then choose afterwards as to which images stand out the most out of them all.
You will hear me talk about how I frame up my subject as well. I rely heavily on composition to bring out the best images when using my mobile phone. Mobile photography can be a fun hobby or past time. However it can be used in more ways than you may think besides taking selfies and usies.
So enjoy the video and the sweet Bahamian tunes of Joseph Spence as he sings Brown skin gal a Bahamian favorite.
