Bahamas Photo Shorts – Mobile Photography – Sea Swells

Photographing moving objects can be tricky in mobile photography and with capturing sea swells its pretty much the same.

There are however a few factors to consider when you are trying to capture either moving objects or wave motion. Depending on you mobile phone you may have the ability to control what the camera does. For the Samsung J1 however that feature is not available so I have to use what I have been given.

The key here is to freeze the action as best I can. Many camera phones have great ability to freeze action especially in a well lit area. Here all matters are working in my favor. The sun is up and shining bright. Ive positioned myself in a safe location and away from any glare from the sun. So all I have to do is time the shots and capture my images.

I said it before and i will say it again. There is no such thing as the perfect shot. There will always be something off with an image. In these images you see the power lines at the top. Its very distracting but for safety reasons the spot where I was standing was the best place to be.

Take a look at the images i captured from this episode. Its all about timing. Remember to share this post and leave a comment or question below. I would be happy to help you.
